The Format Racing Method

Format Racing MethodThe Format Racing Method is a backing system that employs dutching, which won’t appeal to everyone. However, dutching methods when put to good use can produce some fantastic profits. The Format Racing Method has been built around a certain racing statistic and, as such, the author claims the worst you can do is break even. Not sure I like the thought of betting all day just to break even, but that’s probably a more realistic claim than many a betting system!

Format Racing comes with its own spreadsheet to work out your stakes on each selection, saving the old grey matter from doing too much work. The downside is yet again this is a live market system and it’s unlikely you could automate it. However, the website claims some quite amazing profits, and if this test confirms them then its a small price to pay!

The guide itself comes in the form of a downloadable ebook and is relatively straight to the point with no excessive waffle. The author spends a few pages explaining the theory behind the system and, on first inspection, it seems logical enough.

There are a few types of races that the author suggests you avoid and he gives his reasons for doing so, but other than those, any race is fair game! As I’ve said it is a live market system and will probably result in some frantic bet placing just before the off but I would hope it will become easier with practice.

The author claims that it is safe to operate Format Racing off a 20 point bank as only the worst of runs would wipe that kind of bank out, however, he does say that it may be wise to double that just to play safe. With that in mind, I will allocate a £1000 bank and aim for £25 profit per race including Betfair commission, which means the actual target will be £26.25

As ever, the test will run for a month and updates will be posted daily in the System Testing section of our website (although probably not on weekends).

Until next time,

Format Racing - Final Review

After a month of testing, our Format Racing trial has drawn to a close and it has immediately jumped straight to the top of my betting portfolio after what can only be described as an outstanding month!

I see literally hundreds of systems every year and most can be dismissed out of hand, however, Format Racing caught my eye simply because it is based on cold, hard, ruthless statistics. There is nothing I like seeing more than a system that can be backed up by facts, and Format Racing is one such system. Even so, the claims on the Format Racing website did seem a little ambitious to me, and indeed the results have been rounded up somewhat which posed a question or two over their validity.

However, the results during our month of testing have well and truly dismissed any scepticism that may have plagued me. In fact, we have pocketed just shy of 34 points (or £840) profit over the course of 25 days, an average of 1.36 points profit per day.

For this test, I was aiming for £25 profit per race using a £1000 bank, and it was pure profit from day one. As with any form of gambling, there were days that I didn’t come out ahead, but these were surprisingly rare, and were more than made up for on the winning days.

Format Racing is based on the live markets around the time of the off and, as such, requires a hands on approach from the user. I have heard, however, that it is possible to automate it using Market Feeder Pro, but I have never used it so can’t confirm this. For those unable to bet every day I would recommend looking into this as it would be a shame to lose out on such a powerful system.

I had no problems running the system manually and, although the first couple of days were a bit hectic getting used to the system and getting my bets on, I soon got into the swing of it and within two or three days had a little ritual in place for checking the markets and placing my wagers.

So, do I recommend Format Racing? Without doubt, it is one of the most profitable backing systems I have come across to date, and because it is based on sound racing principles, I see no reason for that to change. Having said all that, I would be mad to give it anything but the highest of OBE recommendations!

The Format Racing Method 05/03/08

I’m going to call a halt to the Format Racing test today as it really has outperformed my expectations, and although not signing off with a massive profit for the last day, it did indeed find a profit!

I will write my final review over the next day or so, feel free to check back but you may already have an idea what I’m going to be saying!

I had the opportunity to bet in nine races throughout today but unfortunately didn’t manage to turn a profit.  I can’t have any complaints though, as the past few days have been phenomenal for Format Racing.

I will be winding up this test sometime this week as I feel we’ve seen enough to convince us that Format Racing deserves its place on the OBE recommended list!

The Format Racing Method 03/03/08

After taking the weekend off from Format Racing (and in fact all system tests) it was back to the grind today, and it was lovely to be back!

I played in 10 races today and won no less than nine of those!  We have now almost doubled the starting bank in less than a month and Format Racing is going from strength to strength, and is impressing me no end!  With only a few days of this test left, it looks like we’re going to end well in profit!  Or perhaps I have just cursed it and we’ll end up well in the red.  Lets hope for the former!

The good run we’ve been enjoying of late with Format Racing came to an end today.  The account took a bit of a hit, but we’re still in profit by over 60% and losses are simply a part of any gambling activity, so this little set back is nothing to be worried about.

The Format Racing Method 28/02/08

I said yesterday that I had been slightly sceptical of Format Racing prior to starting this test, however, I am now a firm believer!

Another great day today (which could have been even better if I’d missed out Kempton!) and just shy of £90 to add to the already impressive profit!  If this can continue into the final week of testing then this will definitely be one system I’ll be adding to my portfolio.

The Format Racing Method 27/02/08

Format Racing proved its worth today! I had a whole bundle of races to play in (17 in total) and after a hard days slog I came out well in front!

I admit to being slightly sceptical when I started this test, but so far Format Racing has performed admirably and, after today’s results is now more than 60% in profit in under three weeks! Even if it remained at that level come the end of this test I’d be very impressed!

Losing Catterick cut down the betting opportunities for Format Racing, but I still managed seven bets and won six of them, so even more profit to add to the already impressive bottom line this month.

The Format Racing Method 25/02/08

A reasonably busy day for Format Racing with 11 races to have a wee bet in.  It was a bit of a frustrating day - we had more winners than losers today but the losers cost us dear and stole most of the profit.

We did walk away in profit….but not much, however, the system is doing well for the month and I’d rather walk away a little in profit than take any kind of loss.
