Stat Attack
Stat Attack is one of the most recent offerings from Sportsworld Publishing. It’s a laying system (actually it’s three laying systems in one) that are claimed to have profited to the tune of no less than £15,000 since the turn of the year using £100 level stakes (anyone else want a piece of that kind of action?
)
It took all of oh, two minutes to read over the rules for all three systems. The word simple springs to mind but even that doesn’t quite do it justice. There’s no waffle, no “how to use Betfair”, no “what is laying horses”, no nonsense basically. The whole document is just seven pages long and unlike many systems nowadays, this one gets straight to the point.
Stat Attack, would appear then, to be simplicity itself, and the selections will take 10 minutes on a quiet day and an absolute maximum of 20 minutes on a Saturday. As I said it’s a 3 in 1 system and I see much potential in two of the three systems detailed. In fact, both were ideas that myself and Paul were testing out ourselves last year so we’ve got a fair idea of how they will perform. There is one of the trio that I’m slightly dubious about, but we’ll test it out and see where it takes us, after all, that is why we’re here!
Thankfully, there is no complicated staking plan to follow either - it’s just straightforward level staking, so my old grey matter shouldn’t get too overheated trying to work out the next stake! In addition to that, and to make my already complicated life a little less so, I’m going to run the test using the Grey Horse Bot which, for those of you who haven’t heard of it, is a neat little bot that allows you to specify conditions under which it should place a bet on your behalf. If these are met - bet placed, if not - bet not placed - simplicity itself. In other words, I’m going to be using the Grey Horse Bot to place all of my Stat Attack bets for me on autopilot - cool, huh?
There really is very little more to say about Stat Attack. It’s a well written, straight to the point system that shouldn’t cause any problems for anyone to use on a daily basis. So, for this test we’ll use the standard 100 point bank of £2000 and aim for a £20 profit per race. I doubt anyone will fall off their chairs in surprise when they hear that updates will be posted daily in the system testing area of the site, so make sure you check in regularly to see how it’s all panning out.

Stat Attack - Final Review
So, we’ve come to the end of our test of Stat Attack and we’ve had 30 betting days from 30 so right off the bat it’s safe to say it’s an ideal system for those that like regular action.
Before we get into how the trial went, I’ll give you a quick recap of what Stat Attack is. Stat Attack is a three in one laying system. The author has devised three distinct strategies aimed at achieving significant long term profit. The three systems take all of two minutes to read, digest and understand and really are very, very simple to operate. Each system is completely independent of the other, and you can choose to run any individual system or all three. For the trial, I used all three and placed my bets automatically via Grey Horse Bot. This meant spending 15 minutes in the morning getting my selections, followed by five minutes entering them into GHB and hey presto, my job was done and I was free to get on with other things. The test started with a £2000 bank and £20 stakes.
In the 30 days of action, we generated a smidge over 32 points profit (with Betfair commission inc.) and just over 30 points taking off 5% commission which is really quite impressive and meant £643 profit to £20 stakes - but that doesn’t tell the whole story. As I said earlier Stat Attack is actually three systems and each day I’ve given a P&L update on each. Below I’ve listed how each individual system performed:
System ‘A’ = £371.70 (30 day’s betting)
System ‘B’ = £249.66 (23 day’s betting)
System ‘C’ = £21.80 (10 day’s betting)
As you can see, System ‘A’ was the most profitable, but also the busiest by some considerable way (in fact, although I don’t have exact figures, I’d estimate that 85% of the selections were for System ‘A’), followed by System ‘B’ and then ‘C’. Whereas System’s ‘A’ and ‘B’ are for use on both flat and jumps racing, System ‘C’ only has selections over the jumps and this will, in part, explain it’s lack of betting days. From the results, it’s pretty clear System ‘B’ is most profitable, not only did it have less betting days, but also the odds are much shorter than System ‘A’, max odds of 9/2 compared to 7/1 - and it’s probably the system that makes most sense to me too. I’m disappointed we couldn’t have played in more System ‘C’ selections, but with the time of year there wasn’t going to be many, but I do think that would be a pretty solid system too.
There’s little doubt Stat Attack is profitable, and will continue to be in the future. I have seen Paul Fowlie’s (the system author) results from the turn of the year and they make for pretty interesting reading - £20,000 profit to £100 stakes split £9,000, £4,000 and £7000 for each system respectively. Had we been betting to £100 stakes this month we’d have made £3215 which fairly closely mirrors the results we would have expected. Now that’s a damn fine monthly income
All that and on auto-pilot too?? Hmm, yes please!
Stat Attack 23/06/08
It was a pretty non descript kind of day for Stat Attack. Not too many races to get involved in, but we still pulled a profit. This pretty much rounds off the trial and I’ll get my final review up in the next day or so.

Stat Attack 17/06/08
A small loss to contend with for Stat Attack today. Nothing major, in fact it was only just over a point, which is nothing to worry about. What is a little disappointing is the fact that the profit is less now than it was just a few days into the test. The main thing is we’re still showing a profit though!

Stat Attack 16/06/08
There was surprisingly little action on the go for Stat Attack today. Unfortunately, that showed in the results. We were looking good for a small profit until the last race which cost us a few quid. Fingers crossed for a good run as we enter the closing stages of this particular trial.
