The Format Racing Method 04/02/08

Today was my first attempts at using Format Racing, so I was thankful for the abandonment of Hexham which kept my betting activities to a minimum. My first impression’s weren’t bad, with the spreadsheet easy to use, making it clear if a particular race had a viable betting opportunity or not.

The day started off slow with no bets to be had in the opening skirmishes, but I managed to play in three of the later races and made a nice, straight-forward profit on all three. A very nice start to this test - long may it continue!

15:10 Ling - Won £25
15:20 South - Won £25
15:50 South - Won £25

Day 1 P/L = £75
Total P/L = £75
Bank = £1075

There is a suggestion by the author that it is viable to aim for one point profit per day and stop when that is reached. So, with that in mind I’ll also report on that method. Today’s point was obviously reached in the very first race of the day so a good start all round.
