The Staking Machine

We’ve been having a lot of discussions about betting system staking plans on our betting forum recently, so I felt it was high time I gave you a heads-up about a software application that I use personally for tracking a lot of my own bets and analysing many of the systems we review for this website.

It’s called The Staking Machine and it’s a super-cool, highly advanced, bet tracking and system analysis tool that lets you see at a glance which staking plan would be best suited to your own selection method, or for any of the other betting systems you’re operating, and then analyse your bets in a whole variety of ways. There isn’t anything else like it and when you see what it can do for you I’m sure that you’ll be completely blown away by the possibilities.

There are various ways you can use this software:

1. You can input your bets from your own selection method, or from multiple systems, on a daily basis, so that it keeps a record of your entire betting business in one handy place.

2. You can import all of your past betting data into it, or you can import the past results from any tipster service or betting system, and then see at a glance how to improve the performance.

3. You can even run your own reports using Adrian Massey’s website or from Racing System Builder, copy the data into Excel and then import it into the software to analyse it.

Once you have your betting data in The Staking Machine software it’s as easy as clicking a few buttons to run sophisticated reports that show you the ROI, profit, drawdown, sequences of wins and losses, plus there’s even a confidence test for each staking plan, so you’ll know for sure how well your selection methods or systems are likely to perform in the future.

It allows you to generate up to 4000 random bets to simulate your own selection methods or systems and from there you can perform a “bankruptcy test” that will tell you instantly whether the selected staking plan you’re testing is actually profitable in practice.

If I’m making this sound like a difficult piece of kit to operate, trust me, it’s not. If you currently use Excel to track your bets this will be a piece of cake for you and if you don’t use anything at all to track your bets then you absolutely MUST get a copy of this software. Keeping track of your bets is essential and when you use this software to do it, it really is a no-brainer.

Imagine being able to instantly compare…

- 17 Back Staking Plans including Level Stakes, 1326, D’alembert, Fibonacci, Percentage, Parlay, Pro, Secure, Fixed, Kelly, Square Root, Labouchere, Retirement, Bookies Bank, the infinite settings of XYZ, Up X Down Y and finally L.P.28

- 11 Lay Staking Plans including Lay Level, Fixed Liability, Mixed, Percentage Liability, Lay Percentage, Maria, Lay Ladder, Lay Kelly, Lay 1-4, Lay HiPro86 SP4 and Lay % Recovery

- 2 Each Way Staking Plans - Each-Way Level and Each-Way Combined

….and then view detailed graphs showing you exactly how to improve your performance, how to finetune your bets and also how to fill any holes in your betting strategy.

That’s exactly what The Staking Machine does for you.

I honestly could go on and on about how cool this software is, but I already know that many of you who visit this website are “systemites” through and through, so I can assure you that you’ll see straight away just how useful The Staking Machine actually is.

It’s an essential tool in your betting armoury and highly recommended!

Until next time,
Paul

A couple of questions re the staking machine: can you record dutch bets and multiple lays eg ltp? Can the staking machine cope with simultaneous bets eg football matches. Thanks

Lay The Place is one of the only things it won’t work with Stewboss. You can use it for dutch bets, but multiple winners/losers on the place market works differently.

I’m not sure what you mean by “simultaneous bets”, but it will handle bets from multiple sports no problem and you can track each type of bet, or track/test the bets from multiple systems/selection methods all independently of each other. The software is designed to work like that.

    HI Paul,

I’ll try to elaborate on what I meant by simultaneous bets.

With football matches, there is more that one selection kicking off at the same time. If I was using a % staking plan, all stakes would be the same for these matches and the stake would be re-calculated for the next day. Can the staking machine do this i.e. group bets per day?

  4. Paul on August 13th, 2008 7:00 pm

Mmm, now you’re testing me! I guess that almost all staking plans will base the next stake on the result of the bet before, so the answer to that is probably no.

Let me check though…. it’s something I haven’t really looked at, so I could be wrong.

Paul - I’ve been playing around with this software for the last 3 hours. It’s fascinating!

    Hi guys

Can you help me out with the Staking Machine. I operate 3 tipster services at the moment in addition to some of the products on this site. I use separate banks for each. Would this software be of any use with tipster services who advise different point bets depending on the strengh of the selection. I could probably go back over 2 years historical data and load that into the software but would this help me identify a succesful staking plan when the bets vary each time. Some selections I get are trebles, accumulators etc. I do operate some systems which are level stake bets. Would it be suitable for these?

  7. Paul on September 29th, 2008 10:36 pm

It’s suitable for any type of single bets Andy, but not multiples.

It allows you to tag selections too so you could group the selections from different tipsters and view them individually or as one.

The best advice would be to download the free trial and that will give you a good idea of how it works. It does have limitations (not working with multiples mainly), but on the whole it really is excellent software.
